I must have been here 20 times in the last few years, for lunch only. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, and seating never seems to be an issue. The staff is friendly and the service swift, and what you would expect at a good dinner reservation.
The food is good, and sometimes excellent. Unfortunately the pasta is inconsistent, as I've had it a few times where it's been cooked perfectly, and a few times when it's overcooked and falls apart.
I've tried a lot here, but I typically order off the menu, requesting one of their thicker pastas with their in house bolognese sauce. FYI, for lunch this place is a bargain, I frequently meet for business meetings here. -

I visited LouCas with 25 of my closest friends this past Saturday night to celebrate my friends 50th Birthday. The entire appetizer menu was ordered and served family style.
The seafood tower with Seafood Salad was very good, the Jumbo shrimp cocktail and pulled lobster cocktail was ice cold and fresh.
The eggplant rollatini was a favorite. The fried calamari and the accompanying spicy Marinara was phenomenal. The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding. The only low point was the Clams Casino, the clams weren't stuffed fully and there was some sand.
The entrees that came out all looked great.
I went with the diver scallops over mushroom risotto, the scallops might be the best I have had.
My wife had the stuffed shrimp, another hit!
Jumbo shrimp stuffed with Crab cake mixture....yum!
Surf and turf, branzino, and steaks all look great.
The service was fantastic, never had to wait for a thing. We brought a cake and that was served with no issues. Coffee, Cappuccino, Expresso and Tea were all enjoyed.
I am looking forward to going back. BYOB

First things first, BYOB. I learned the hard way my first visit. I had to drive about 7 minutes or so away immediately after I ordered. But rest assured, the servers are more than happy to serve you and chill your wine for you upon arrival! Haha
They're also very personable and professional.
Plenty of parking available, from my experience usually not too busy or crowded. Great business and/or event environment.
If you're looking for fresh seafood and a true Italian restaurant experience, I suggest you come here and splurge! There is not one thing on the entire menu that I would not recommend!
I usually order the calamari, rock shrimp and/or one of the outstanding specials (usually the seafood option).
I've never had a bad experience here and I've always heard good things.
Looking forward to this weekends dinner here! -

In my experience, LouCas has been pretty hit or miss. My family and I have been coming here for a while and I swear the food is different every time. This time was definitely a hit. I was pleasantly surprised. We came on Christmas Eve and my only issue was that the restaurant was SO LOUD...again nothing new for LouCas. As the place started to empty, we were able to have conversation without screaming. We had a variety of appetizers to share. The rock shrimp app and the mango calamari are two of my favorites. The majority of us had seafood for our entrees. I had an absolutely delicious branzino stuffed with crab meat and lobster. I could have licked the plate it was so good. Hopefully the quality stays at this level going forward.

LouCas is a classic Italian Restaurant that makes you feel like you went back in time. The place is always busy on weekends and has kept its clientele for years. The many options, level of service and BYOB concept makes it a must visit in the Edison area. I definitely want to compliment our server Angelina, who was funny sweet and extremely helpful. We ordered a large array of items for appetizers and dinner as we were a big group but the ones that stood out were Rock Shrimp and Eggplant Rollatini. The burrata, one of the specials of the day was extremely underwhelming. The desserts were definitely a highlight as each one of them were perfection! This is wonderful place to come celebrate occasions or to catch up with friends and family! Large space, good food with variety that will make everyone happy and BYOB is why I recommend the restaurant!
